Ingredients for 8 people

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 gr flour
  • 200 gr sugar
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g honey
  • 25 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 10 gr baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • Sugar q. b.
  • Oven to 180 ?


Place in a planetary mixer sugar, butter, honey and vanilla,  and work the planetary till the mixture becomes frothy.  Add one egg at a time, waiting until the previous one has been well-blended  before adding the next. Add the chocolate that you have dissolved in the microwave (or bay maria) and   cool.

In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking powder and cocoa and after having sifted them together, Stir with a wooden spatula and blend gradually the  with warm cream. Coat a  comet shaped mold (or a cake tin) with baking paper wet and wrung out and pour the mixture: Bake for 50 minutes at about 180 ?,   After 40 minutes you can  do the toothpick test to check the cookin  It should be baked to moist and' not' dry. Once cooked, let it cool down and then remove it from the mold.  Decorate with powdered sugar and accompany it with  whipped cream  (better with little or even no sugar.)
